Call for Graphics/Web Designer

The Leigh Square Community Arts Village in Port Coquitlam needs a new webpage and is looking for a Graphics/Web Designer interested in gaining some experience (and an honorarium) to design it for us.
-
We would like our webpage to be easy to navigate for a user looking for information about our events and exhibitions, in addition to being dynamic and attractive. We would also like this site to more accurately represent our vibrant arts/culture/heritage activities available city wide! This webpage is part of the larger City of Port Coquitlam website and your work would need to blend, to some degree, with the existing schemes. The page that needs an upgrade currently looks like this: www.portcoquitlam.ca/arts. You’ll be working with the Arts & Culture staff team and a web master who will do the coding of the site. If you have the vision and potential, come join our team! Other benefits include a letter of recommendation after successful completion of the project and complimentary tickets to spring concerts organized by Parks & Recreation, Arts & Culture Dept.

Approximate number of hours: 100

If you are interested in applying for this temporary position, please email arts@portcoquitlam.ca an application package consisting of:
-
* Your name, contact number, email address, and website if applicable
* 3 images of related graphic/web design work
* 200 words describing your experience/ education and why you wish to be involved in this project
